Dresses for every bride!

That was the inspiration that Monique Lhullier had for her Spring 2014 bridal collection. "from City Hall to the altar, whether there are hundreds of guests or just two," said Lhullier, and proving this to be true was the variety of her designs, from sophisticated minis, perfect for City Hall to exquisite  gowns that would be perfect for any bride.

It is bridal market time!

Friday one of our favorites, Vera Wang, was one of the first designers to show her latest bridal collection on runway.

This collection was full contrast from white and black to soft and edgy.  Also it was very noticeable the modern touches given by Wang to her gowns to pay homage to "architecture and discipline."  

And this season special touch; full length leather gloves in black and gray.

What was your experience at Casa de Novia

I went to Casa on a recommendation from a friend and could not have been more pleased

with my experience. Luvi and Carmen were absolutely wonderful in helping me find my

dream dress. They were so accommodating with fittings when my mom and sister had to

fly in from out of town to help me make the final decision and they worked with me till

the very last week in making sure everything would be absolutely perfect.

Your Love story

Clint and I met on the first day of MBA orientation at the University of Notre Dame

and it was as close to love at first sight as we could have imagined. After two years

of working hard at school, we moved to Houston together to pursue our careers. On

our third anniversary of dating, we went out to dinner and had decided to do small

gifts to celebrate. Clint handed me a card, I opened it and it read “Congratulations on

your engagement!” When I looked up, half-confused and half-shocked, he was down

on one knee and asked me to marry him. He knows I’m easily embarrassed by grand

public gestures, so the intimacy and privacy of our engagement was just perfect. We

were married 8 months later at the Wedding Pavilion at Walt Disney World in Orlando,

Florida.

Interview, i-D and Numero. Exciting runway collaborations include Diane von Furstenberg(RTW Fall &

Spring 2008, Resort 2009) and the Fendi fashion house (RTW Fall 2011). At the height of Gossip Girl,

many of Jennifer’s styles were worn by the show's character Blair, played by Leighton Meester.

What was your experience at Casa de Novia?

 I tried on dresses at many bridal boutiques and the service at Casa de Novia far exceeded any others. Luvi and her staff are so sweet and do everything to ensure a great experience. They even served champagne when my mom and mother-in-law came to a fitting!

Your Love story

Scott & I met thru mutual friends at a ranch. He guided me on my first buck and we quickly started dating! Scott introduced me to a whole new world of hunting and fishing. We spend a lot of time in Port O'Connor at his family's bay house. One afternoon in late summer, we went out on his poling skiff, stopped by the beach, and then cruised to a secluded lagoon for happy hour. As I turned around from admiring the sunset, Scott was holding the open ring box and proposed! The proposal was perfectly us. (We later used his seafoam poling skiff as an outdoor bar at our wedding reception!)
